Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2, 1985) is an American actor. It featured Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman, along with Bob Odenkirk. Tolman has received praises for her performance in the character of Minnesota Police Officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair said that Tolman had "calmly certainly stole the entire production". For her role, she received the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie/Miniseries and received Best Actress nominations at the Emmy Awards and for the Golden Globes. Tolman was also a guest spot on The Mindy Show as Abby Berman a romance writer. In 2015, her supporting part was played by Michael Dougherty in the film horror comedy Krampus. Tolman declined several support roles, such as roles played by mothers, wifes and friends, following her first appearance on Fargo. Tolman wanted a new character. Tolman's role on ABC Downward Dog was based upon her role in the Animal Media Group Web Series. After one season, it was cancelled. Tolman has been an active Twitter user, stated that she received "pretty impressive" ratings for her role in the ABC Drama Emergence. The drama premiered September, but was pulled after just one season on May 21 2020. [citation needed] She also appeared as a guest on NBC's Good Girls. In 2021 she was a guest star in the role of Alma Filcott in the second season of the drama show Why Women Kill, and was Natalie Green in The Facts of Life portion of the third edition of Live in Front of a Studio Audience.
