Anthony David Gonzalez, a former American tight end, played for 17 seasons with the National Football League. One of the NFL's most effective tight ends, and the third most effective overall receiver, he's been named the NFL's most effective tight end, in terms of receiving yards, receptions and receptions, among other things.
The former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez has been a regular guest on FOX NFL KICKOFF in the NFL's 2017 season. The show, which lasts for an hour, precedes FOX NFL Sunday, which airs each Sunday, at 11 AM ET throughout the NFL Season.
Gonzalez signed a new contract with Atlanta Falcons to run for two seasons and $11 million on March 15 2013. This was despite having stated that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire following the 2012 NFL football season. After the departure of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez spent his last season as the leader of the NFL's active players in receiving yards.
